Some people hang a strand of lights across the porch and call it done. I’ve never been able to leave it there. What started as an obsession with my own family’s display turned into a business in 2024. 

Heading into our third season, the obsession hasn’t changed. The equipment got a lot better. 

Forty years in these neighborhoods

I grew up here, and over the past forty-plus years I’ve lived in Marietta, Kennesaw, Acworth, and now Woodstock, where my family is today. My kids have grown up in these same towns. 

So, when I say we know the area, I don’t mean we looked it up. I’ve driven Bells Ferry at rush hour, watched Woodstock’s downtown become a place people drive in for, and seen half of Cherokee County get built. The homes we light are in neighborhoods I’ve lived in, next to people I run into at the grocery store. 

We’re not a seasonal crew

This is the part worth knowing before you hand anyone a deposit. Blue Mountain Christmas Lights is the holiday side of Blue Mountain Exteriors, a year-round exterior cleaning company based in Woodstock. Same owner, same trucks, and the same people you’d call in May are the ones you’ll call in December. 

That matters more than it sounds. A lot of holiday lighting companies form in September and disappear by February, which is a real problem when your takedown is scheduled for January. We’re caring for the exteriors of homes in Woodstock, Canton, Roswell, Alpharetta, Milton, and surrounding cities year-round. We’re not going anywhere, because this is where we live. 

Every strand is cut specific to your home

Every display is measured and custom-cut to your roofline, so the lights follow your peaks, gables, and dormers instead of sagging between them. We take the extra time to center a light at every peak on your home. We don’t install store-bought strands and hope for the best. We use commercial-grade LEDs installed with low visibility clips that don’t damage your shingles or gutters. 

We handle all of it 

Design, installation, maintenance all season, takedown when the holidays end, and free storage all year. If a section goes dark in mid-December, you call us and we come fix it. You don’t own a single box of lights, so you don’t own a single problem either, and you never touch a ladder. 

Where we work

We’re based in Woodstock and install across Canton, Marietta, Acworth, Roswell, Alpharetta, Milton, and Atlanta. Three of those are towns I’ve lived in myself.
